How we got here

My passion for Kenya goes back to 2009, when I volunteered at Imani Children’s Home in Nairobi. Since then I have spent a lot of time there and got to learn more about the country, its vibrant cultures and its wonderful people.

For many years I worked on my own, giving a small group of children an opportunity to go to school and providing the necessities. It was several years later, when encouraged and inspired by amazing people, that I decided to expand the reach of my work and create Children First Kenya.

I split my time between Kenya and the UK and I focus on ensuring that together, we help to build a bright future for everyone who was born in more challenging environments to ours.
